One of my favorite passages of Scripture is in Christ's discourse to the disciples during the Last Supper. Jesus says "I am the vine: you the branches. He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
I love this passage for several reasons. First, Christ instructs us in how we may accomplish the things He sets out for us. Second, Christ tells us what type of relationship we can have with Him. And Finally, the context of this verse of Scripture is within the Last Supper. The old Passover Supper that is transformed into the new Passover Supper, which is the first Eucharist. That supper that is the prefigurement of His salvific sacrifice on the Holy Cross which He offers for mankind less than 24 hours later.
This blog is therefore dedicated to the life-giving communion with God Christ established and sealed with His Precious Blood.
